Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how LaunchBase ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information when you visit launchbase.space, create an account, or use LaunchBase. LaunchBase is an AI launch base that helps small teams organize launch strategy, messaging, assets, outreach, and post-launch learning in one place.

We aim to collect the minimum information needed to run the service reliably and improve it over time. We do not sell personal data.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, password (stored hashed), and optional organization details. These are required to authenticate you and associate your work with your account.

Workspace and launch data

LaunchBase stores the launch content you create inside the product. This may include launch plans, product positioning notes, messaging drafts, launch assets, outreach contact lists, feedback you collect, and post-launch debrief notes.

Important: you should not upload personal data, contact lists, or other information that you are not authorized to use. You are responsible for the lawful basis under which workspace content is stored and processed.

Contact form data

If you contact us through forms on launchbase.space we receive your name, email, optional company, the reason for contact, the message body, and whether you consented to a reply. This is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

Email preferences and consent data

When you opt in to product updates or other communications, we record the consent event (timestamp, source, and the specific opt-in language presented). You can withdraw consent at any time from the email or in your account settings.

Product usage data

We collect basic, privacy-respecting telemetry about how the product is used — pages viewed, features clicked, errors encountered — to keep the service stable and improve it. Where possible this data is aggregated or pseudonymized.

How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and operate LaunchBase.
• To authenticate accounts and protect against abuse.
• To respond to support and contact requests.
• To send transactional emails required to deliver the service.
• To send product updates only when you have explicitly opted in.
• To improve the product through aggregated usage analytics.
• To meet legal, accounting, or regulatory obligations.

Content you submit may be processed by AI providers under data-processing agreements solely to deliver the AI features you request. We do not use customer launch content to train foundation models.

How we share information

• Service providers: infrastructure, email delivery, error monitoring, and AI processors who handle data on our behalf under contract.
• Legal compliance: if required by law, regulation, or a valid legal request.
• Business transfers: if LaunchBase is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to affected users where required.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share workspace content with third parties for advertising.

Data retention

We retain account and workspace data while your account is active. When you delete an account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period unless we are required to retain it for legal, security, or accounting purposes.

Contact form messages are retained only as long as needed to handle the inquiry and any follow-up.

User choices and rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Delete your account and associated personal data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw previously given consent.

Security practices

SOC 2 Type I attained March 2025. Type II audit in progress, expected Q3 2026. AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, RBAC roles, SAML SSO on Studio+, MFA mandatory for Admins.

We also use scoped access to production systems and least-privilege access controls. No service can guarantee perfect security, and we do not claim certifications beyond those listed above.

International use

LaunchBase is operated from infrastructure that may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on lawful transfer mechanisms with our subprocessors.

Children's privacy

LaunchBase is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact legal@launchbase.space and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the product or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision.
